Dr. Fawn Hogan is a highly experienced, board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, serving the San Antonio, TX area, and beyond. Born in Hawaii at Tripler Army Medical Center, she has spent most of her life in the military! Dr. Hogan was appointed to the United States Air Force Academy in 1994 and remained in the U.S. Air Force until she retired in 2024. Service is in her blood - with her father and grandfather both career Air Force officers. Engrained in her during her Academy experience, she is deeply committed to the core values of Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence In All We Do.

Following graduation from the academy, she went south to New Orleans where she attended Tulane Medical School, graduating in 2002. After medical school, she accepted a 5 year General Surgery residency at UT Health Science Center San Antonio. After adding a prestigious 2 year research fellowship, she also completed a Masters in Clinical Investigation. She decided to remain in San Antonio while she pursued specialty training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, again at UT Health San Antonio, where she graduated in 2012. Dr. Hogan obtained board certification in both General Surgery (ABS) and Plastic Surgery (ABPS).

Dr. Hogan served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at both David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base, CA and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. She served as the U.S. Air Force subject matter expert for Transgender Surgical Services and on the VA-DHA Working Group for Transgender Medicine. During this time, she was appointed as an Adjunct Professor for the UT Health San Antonio Division of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Hogan has a unique interest and expertise in the arena of tele-health delivery and transition to in person surgical care. She made virtual health a priority for active duty servicemen not only nationally, but globally. Providing surgical services in a safe, collaborative environment, Dr Hogan streamlined the virtual health process with patients traveling to BAMC in San Antonio, TX from across the US, to Japan, England, and Germany. Patients are able to have a safe operative procedure with a proven track record for the initial consultation to followup and post operative care.
